I do all of my programming in Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, then save it to a disk and throw it into my MC-80 for live use. As of right now, it's running out into a JV-1080, and a little Boss SP-202 sampler, that's all I really need. My question is can the MPC 2k, or 3k, whichever one I can get, replace both my sorry little sampler and the MC-80? I wasn't sure if it would accept standard MIDI files.. I know I'd have to transfer all my samples and play with the routing a bit, but can it be done?

you should have no problems loading your midi files into an mpc 2000/3000 I do it all the time and it works perfect.
I personally think the mpc would replace both the mc 80 and sp 202 you will have more sample ram and a more professional sound to your samples plus wav file compatibility which is always good the only downside to the mpc is the effects board is not included so you have to buy it seperately..
