there just might b hope for us mpc samplist with our 12pole lpf, it seams that akai is bringing us a MFC (Midi filter center(?) as a add on to the mpc, does anybody know anything more about this will this b a hardware & os upgrade (I'd b very happy w s5000 filters) or is this just a audio filter.. that won't do as no good cos we can't resample.. can we akai...

In general, as far as everyone can tell, it's a pure audio thing. Kind of like a filterbank. You take the out of the MPC and bung it in. However, it will have a degree of MIDI control, sync to MIDI I'd guess.
It's not wholly integrated. You could probably use it with stuff other than an mpc.

hmmm prehaps Akai expects us to buy a few and route the induvidual outs through them and save all their settings with in a .all file in the mpc, it is after all a Mfc M stating for midi I hope.. might not be a bad idea ..I can defenatly c were their stragety is coming from: turn the mpc into a la SP1200!!

some extra filters would be kinda cool... i wonder if you could hook it up to something else like a S3000XL.
