Hi
My pc is a 166 mmx with 32 mb of ram, awe 32,Seagate 2.1 UDMA hdd,S3 Virge,etc..
I'm using VST 3.55 for seq. midied to a jd800, jv1080and Alesis D4
The midi is ok in VST but Ican't record audio .Vst is installed with direkt x and on the ascio panel ,when I switch from the direkt x setup to ascio multimedia driver i get always the same msg which says that the communication with my soundcard is lost.I tried different tips via my windows setup, but i get always the same msg.
By the way I'm using windows 98 beta 3.Is that the main problem ??
Or shall I choose as the multimedya driver the direkt x driver ??
Or shall I trow the awe 32 away and by a gina
Please help me I'm going nuts...

cyberbass..

It's probably the WaveSynth.
This midi-like device locks both midi and audio.
So if the Wavesynth (or reality driver if you use it)
is in the midi out device list, deactivate it in order to give
the audio channel free for recording.
The fact is that cubase tries to open all devices when starting up,
midi first and then the audio.
