Well what kinda card do you have? What kinda CPU? How much RAM? More RAM always speeds things up... cant have too much of it... and its very cheap these days.

I have a AWE64 value card which I am gonna replace with turtle beach DAYTONA PCI card just to get me going until I can afford a real card like the PINNACLE PROJECT STUDIO or any card simular to that one.

I have a 150MMX with 48RAM. Would my video card beslowing things down? It is only 1meg.

DON'T BUY A TURTLE BEACH DAYTONA - THEYRE CRAP. I HAD ONE AND THE QUALITY WAS AWFUL - WORSE THAN MY SB16 CLONE.

Get a turtle beach Montego... i swear you wont regret it. Way better sound than Daytona and its similarly priced. Video card shouldnt be a problem with sound.... though 1 meg is awefully small these days. Your speed problems have nothing to do with your soundcard though... may want to look into new CPU or CPU/Motherboard. Its lunch time.

I just bought a TBS Montego and I have a db50xg attached to it. When I run a program called cakewalk the sounds of the db50xg don't come through and I have tried every setting on the program and on controlpannel-multimedia. Do you have anysuggestion as to what I can do?
please write to my e-mail address or here

Umm... I dunno. My computer is fucked at the moment... so cant really take a look at my own mixer to see how it works... but I think you need to add the MPU401 to the mixer controls then boost the volume. Then just make sure you're outputting your data to MPU401 for Montego. Should work. Fiddle with the Monetego mixer preferences and see if you cant add controls for MPU401 or some other midi kinda thing. SOrry I cant be of more help at the moment..
