I'm planning to buy this wondercard everybody's been rambling about, but I'm a little anxious as to installing it onto my pinnacle. My machine's allreday a little bit crammed and I've read more than one post about things going all wrong so....comments&help would be much appreciated. tnx.

Are you sure the Pinnacle has a waveblaster compatable header? I was thinking for some reason the daughterboard connector was something other than waveblaster... something smaller. I dunno though. Just make sure of that before you get it. But... if it is compatable... get it. Installing it is a breeze... doesnt need any IRQs or drivers or anything... just snap it on and it works. I wouldnt worry at all about it causing any problems for you. Once you get it, be sure you hunt down a copy of XG-Gold.. think its on the yamaha web site. This program lets you use the 4 element QS300 voices... which will be all the voices you'll ever need... and it has all the functionality of XGedit too.

Rawface: yup... I got mine on my Tahiti. Just snap it on the wavetable connector... and choose "tahiti header out" within yer favorite midi app to output midi to it. Very easy.

J: Nope... its not freeware. But very cheap to register. I can't remember how much but its somewhere in the $30 range I think.

Astro,
I just bought a TBS Montego and I have a db50xg attached to it. When I run a program called cakewalk the sounds of the db50xg don't come through and I have tried every setting on the program and on controlpannel-multimedia. Do you have anysuggestion as to what I can do?
please write to my e-mail address or here
