look also at 2 cards... like 2 korg 1212 I/O cards with 2 ouboard 880 DA racks..... check Korg out under the Soundlink DSS system.... midiman have also just released a adat 8 output unit that looks fantastic...

Creamware Pulsar have 8 & 16 out via the 2x ADAT interfaces.

there ya go, so you can have a choice of actual converters... Creamwares, or the ones above... there are others i think

I know two more card gives 16 outputs to you:
SoundScape Mixtreme : 2 x 8 TDIF I/O
Sonorus : 2 x 8 ADAT I/O
