I am thinking about buying an E-MU APS sound card.... I was looking for suggestions, is it worth it?... or should I consider another card?... are the effects as good as they advertise them to be?.. that kind of stuff.

I am an APS user. We had several discussions regarding APS here. I suggest you look at older threads. If you choose 90 days you probably get the most of it.
