i am extremely new to computer recording, not new to synths etc...i am
trying to use soundblaster live enhanced
with any of two or three software apps.
i cannot enter sound thru the 1/4 inch
jack on the live drive and have it register in any of the programs...only
from the rear mic jack.
this makes no sense to me as i can record into the soundblaster recorder,
and i can hear audio through my pc
speakers...obviously (?) i have something set incorrectly...but what?
also, i can enter midi seq info, but
when i play it back the crap emu internal synth plays along with my synth...and twice as loud...any help
would be vastly appreciated...but please dont assume that ill understand anything technical....tnx

you see the little yello speaker icon in the lower right hand corner of you screen? double click it.

then click on options, then properties

make sure "recording" is selected (under "adjust volume for")

now hit ok

now selct the input you wish to record from by checking the "select" box

adjust gain, and record awayyyyyyyyyy

now, as a return for all my hard work you must do me a favor..

pretend to moo like a cow.. softly to yourself, and giggle like a little kid..

c'mon have some childish fun.. to many serrious people always around.
