I have an asr-10 and ususally sample all my drums... i then write my song using cakewalk's piano roll in drum mode.... however i have one problem... the drums dont "ring out" ... how do i change it so that the samples play the whole sample instead of just the first second.... i tried playing with the envelope but i can't figure it out...

help

By 'sample all my drums' do you mean individual hits or loops, i.e., short phrases of 2 or more measures?

If you are using Step Entry to lay down your tracks or trigger your loops, see of you a duration command. Example: In Vision, a whole note =1920 ppqn. If I want the whole note to sustain for two measures I set the duration to 3840. This allows me to trigger a 2 measure loop for it's entire duration rather tweak envelope settings for the loop to sustain.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Jon
