I need some type of music equipment to get me started. I had an ASR-88 till I got in a car accident that almost killed me now with no keyboard or anything I wanted An ASR-X. Please E-mail me if you want to sell one. I have a limited budget but I can try my best.

well the nameless hero is wrong!! its a muther of a sampler, and there is nothing that can touch it when it comes to resampling and FX.!! u have to work hard at orginizing your kits on zip,..and the envelopes could b faster (not a big deal.. but once u get your head around it! (I think thats what failed most pepole *they just didn't understand it* its a new sampling mentality all together), its the fastest sampling choping unit out!

Think I saw a Pro on Ebay with a bid of around 650 US$. Do a search for Ensoniq.

Yes but what is the reserve set at? A high bid does not necessarily mean a winning bid. I'd suggest you search through the completed auction on eBay and see just how many of those ASR-X Pro's sold - a great many never reach the reserve price. Now, I can't speak for other but if it were me - and it won't be;-) - I'd set a reserve price closer to $900 and through in some RAM or a Zip drive to tempt bidders to go higher. $650 for an ASR-X Pro ain't going to happen. Maybe $650 - $750 for an original ASR-X (the black one.)

BTW - the ASR-X series is VERY diffferent from the ASR-10/88 series. Don't expect it to be a tabletop version of the ASR keyboards. It's not. See my webpage for details and links.
