I just bought an Esi-32 and tricked it out w/ 32mg and the 3.02 O/S. I'm a little confused about the original key thing- Let's say I export a loop from recycle at 100bpm. It shows up at that tempo at C1 on my keyboard. If I actually want that loop to play at 100bpm at C2, should I set the original key to C3? For whatever reason, none of the logical options are working for me. Another weird thing I notice is that that recycle loop plays at 100bpm at C1, but C#1 plays like over an octave lower. So When I try to set up several loops in separate zones at the same tempo, none of them play back at the same tempo. Is this a recycle problem or confusion on my part about the original key thing?.... Once again, any help is totally appreciated.....

set the original key 2 whatever u like mate. I dunno about the esis, but on EOS samplers 2 get it all playing at the correct speed (ie the one u sampled it at) just switch transpose 2 off at the preset edit level in the tuning section. If u want 2 pitch the beat up without using timestretch, then just use the key transpose feature on the same page.

I dont doubt the esis do it a little differently, but all those features will b there somewhere.......maybe in dynamic processing, I dunno.

Okay, I think I figured out the problem: Recycle does not actually change the loop,(when using tune to new pitch) it just sets up a zone and transposes it accordingly. So when I try to set up a differrent zone with the same sample, I lose the recycled Transposition, causing the loop to no longer be at the specified tempo. Once again, SOundforge looks to be a better program for SCSI sample dumping....Problem solved.
