I just got my Emulator a few days ago. I am trying to figure out how to change the filter in real time. I can play the sample and adjust the filter each time I retrigger, but not while the sample is playing. Of coarse I am using only the data wheel to do this. Should I just control the filter with some external midi controler or is it limited to only using the LFO/ENV to modulate the cutoff?

Oh yeah, and can the LFOs sync to midi?

No, the lfo's are not midi syncable.
I don't quite understand your first question.
You say you can't control the filters in real time, but you say you can control it with the data wheel,
well my son, that's how it's done.
Just record the movements in your sequencer, or as you said you can use envelopes or lfo's

OK, heres the deal... I can use the data wheel to control the filter, yes. But I can only adjust it before triggering the sample, not tweak it in real time...get what Im saying? While the sound is playing (say, a drumloop) the data wheel movement does not affect the sound until the sound is retriggered. Anyway, even if I cant use the datawheel to tweak in realtime, I still LOVE this instument, its amazing what I have done with it in just a few short days

no, the data wheel aint a midi controller - it only works at note on/off. 2 do filter sweeps and whatnot, just assign the modwheel 2 cutoff in the cord screen, mess around with the mod depth 2 get the desired effect and there ya go

And ummmmmm........my e4s not 2 hand right now, but I`m sure the lfo is midi syncable, no? just set clckhlf or whatever clock division u want as the source and lfo as the destination right? Then just send out midi clock from yer sequencer.

Wai - my emails down right now, so I`m not ignoring ya, I`m trying 2 set up the account with Breathe so I`ll prolly send a mail soon.
