hello folks,

i just got an e-6400 ultra the other day and need more more MORE MORE options. do you people think it's a good idea to get a dedicated disk drive for the sampler, like a zip, jaz, or hard disk, or just store the samples on my computer and use EOSlink or some other shit to move the banks/samples back and forth?

Is this even possible? I've not used EOSlink yet.

Hi John,

Do yourself a favour and get a dedicated hard drive. It will be much easier than going back and forth anyway. When you've set up your presets you can save them as a bank directly to the hard drive. If you are using sample transfers, you'll have to setup your presets all over again the next time you want to load in the samples.

It will be much easier for you IMHO. EOS Link will *not* allow you to do SMDI transfers (or any transfers of that kind). It is simply remote control software. Basically, it is the front panel of your EOS sampler on your computer screen. That's it. No sample transfers. To do this, you need a program like Sound Forge or Wavelab (if you're on a PC) or Peak or D-Sound Pro if you're on a Mac.

HTH,
Fernando
