Hey hey ensoniq page!

jj here, was wondering about the asr-x pro. Can it be scsied up to a pc, so samples can be sent back and forth? And um, what do y'all pros think a good price for the asr-x pro would be with output expander? I wonder, I havn't gotten a consistant price going. What is the price for the extra outputs?

Thanks all greatly, I think I'm going to be joining the ensoniq team again!!! yay yay yay! Go team go.

jj-
An ASR-X Pro can be had new for $995 from most "Etail" shops - the cost of the 8x Output Expander is $189 at zZounds. On average, you can expect 2nd hand prices to discount 20-30% off that - maybe even better - so I'd expect $800 for a used ASR-X Pro with 8x Output Expander.

You'll find my ASR-X page at the URL above.

Regards,
Jon

Yes, you can most definitely use SMDI to transfer samples between a Mac or Win PC and the ASR-X. You'll need the requisite software to do it though - either Sound Forge (Win) or Peak (Mac).

Okay, thankyou!

How about this one: If I've got my asr-x pro scsi'ed up to a zip drive, can I use DOS formated zip disks? Can I drop files onto a zip disk from my computer, and then insert said disk into asr-x pro with scsi zip???

Tell me yes, and I'll spend 800 dollars, however, I am expecting the truth.
