My e6400 sometimes gives me a message something like "Sample 019 Left End Zero!" when I enter sample edit, and every time I need to push 'ok' in sample edit. Any idea what this is all about? I called emu tech support, and they couldn't tell me anything...

maybe it is over the zero db mark, clipping. try decreasing the samples level with gain reduction. Just a guess

are you getting odd sample titles as well?

because...this just happened to me..some WEIRD shit, and it was SCSI that was causing it...my e4 is SCSI'd up to the PC, and I think I might have accidentally had them both runnin at the same time..like...trying to perform scsi functions, and it killed the bank that I was using..put some odd hex on it...samples came up crazy, got SCSI errors in the E4, etc

thank god for backups!!!

Yeah, SCSI has been a bitch. I think there must have been a SCSI error when I was loading that bank, because other banks don't have this problem. Also I have to power up my SCSI ZIP first, then my sampler, then my box, or the sampler doesn't recognize the ZIP drive. Spooky stuff...

Yep, you read right. Zip, sampler, THEN computer.

never bothered me a bit. the E4 screen is pretty damn big really.

I dont think even the akais fit everything on one screen.

funny how you can never fully satisfy people.

I like EOS

when I was looking at the akai, its didn`t really seem to show much more on the screen, just bigger really ......sometimes it showed less (like the mod routing for example). Superb for editing samples tho, nice smapler now they`ve finished it.The menus have never bothered me either - just set them assignable keys properly and yer laughing.

Didn't mean to imply I was less-than-satisfied with my e6400. I love the thing. And yeah, once you get the menus down, and the assignables set--no problem at all, really...
