Subject: Recording from Analog source?

I'm using a 300mhz pII with diamond motherboard and sound blaster live (not value the one with digital input). The hard drive is a 5200 rpm 6 gig drive 
So now I've hooked up my outside source into the analog in on the sound card and using sound forge I start recording. Great that works, but when I put it to CD it skips! (the CD skips) my burner is a creative 2x 4x. Nero is my burning program. Also how do you seperate tracks so its not all on track one when burning a mixed set?
