I've got 2 soundcards in my system so how do I go about routing the Audio channels to seperate soundcard outputs so I can externally mix them?

The master output tends to define the final output - can I switch this off?

set the VST tracks to ANY.....

then when the master mixer is opened, you'll see the master.... and the BUS out which is your second card or outputs..... there can be 4 buss stereo outs....... or 8 mono using pan on the monitor channels.... so... at the bottom of the input channels if the bus is set active in the master mixer, then you can select a bus out for the monitor channels... that i reckon is it..... i cant test it, cos i used a dummy second audio device... but it seems correct... try it....
