Original Message 1/6 16-Dec-98 @ 12:45 PM - vst 3.6 on cd
that I just received from Steinberg on CD is the
buggy one, or is it OK? The version number
reads as 3.6 on the disk and in the file
properties. Surely Steinberg wouldn't burn the
discs with a version known to be faulty?
(don't call me Shirley!). If so, do I then have to download
a newer version (and curse myself for wasting time and money
obtaining the CD).
So far I haven't had a chance to try the software
properly with existing audio recordings from V3.553.
Any help would be appreciated.

I rang Steinberg about getting the upgrade to 3.6.02 on a CD-Rom because none of the studio computers is on the 'net and their stupid system won't let you download an upgrade only.
The told me that they'd have to download it on an administrative ftp and someone would have to sit there and burn it on to CD for us. The price: £5.00.
I told them this was out of order as we'd only just paid for a 5 user site licence and he said if we have a problem with that to take it up with our retailer.
What a load of )*$)*£)*&!^&!%(&^)*

I'll check that out. Looking forward to donating another hour of my time time to Steinberg.
