Just purchased Wavelab 2.0 and Waldorf Dpole plugin. When I try to install Dpole, after entering the authorization, it immediately gives me an error that it cannot find a valid plugin directory, and tells me I need to install Cubase or Wavelab 2 first, then dumps me out. The install docs say that the program should prompt me for a directory, but it never does. Wavelab is running quite stable and I used all the defaults at install. Anyone have any hints? I'd like to get this running this weekend.

well, does Wavelab create a plugin DIR when it set itself up?>... cos maybe the Dpole is looking for an appropriately named dir to install into.... maybe d-pole only works with VST and is looking for the right VST dir?...

Well, after several calls to tech support, they were able to reproduce my problem exactly. Then they mailed me the demo version of Cubase VST on CD and insisted that it would work once I installed this. It didn't. More calls to tech support and they are now sending the full version minus the dongle and claiming this will work. We'll see.

At least they've fess'd up to having an installation problem with this expensive plugin.
