It concerns the new features in OS3.0 of the Virue.
I hope us Virus A users don't go empty handed . . . . . .

Virus OS 3 (B / KB Only)
Twenty-four Voices
Eighty-two (80 + 2!) simultaneous effects (5 individual effects in 16 Multiparts, 32-Band-Vocoder, Stereo-Delay)
RETRO PHASER 6-Stage Stereo Phaser with 24 (!) filter-poles
DISTORTION with different distortion-types like - Saturation from "Light" to "Hard"- Bit reduction (!) infinitely
variable - Sampling rate infinitely variable
Creates the typical Bass-Boost found in analog synthesisers. The first time in the Virus B / KB and fully
controllable
The well-known Virus Chorus, fully stereo, available for all 16 Multiparts
Ring modulates the Virus B / KB with an external Audio signal. Crazy, and in Stereo!
FOUR Oscillators per Voice! Three Main oscillators* plus one Sub oscillator. Fat!
FM (Frequency modulation) for the Oscillators with external Input signals (!) or Noise. Also crazy, and in Stereo!
External audio signals modulating the Virus-Filter or any given parameters when using the modulation-matrix.
Perfect for sample loops
We have purchased the latest Signature-Soundset from ROB PAPEN and now make it available to all Virus B /
KB Users for free
and lots more...

I haven't really got it integrated into my setup yet so I can't comment on multi use.
The bass boost seems to do a good job, could hear the monitors struggling to keep up.
Phaser is great, very warm, clean sounding.
Is the distortion effect new? If so then basically has exactly the same characteristics as the filter saturation and sounds really nice.
I was blown away by the sound of the unit overall, ranging from really warm through to quite hard, deep through to cutting.
Much more powerful sounding than my AN1x, warmer than my Micromodular, basically it reminded me of all of the analog synths that I have played.
Some of the pads are mind boggling, not your average plain 'phat' analog sounds, but huge pads as full of motion and detail as something like a JV1080 but with the force and presence of Prophet 5.
Truly an excellent machine and I say all this after only about three hours of playing with it.
Joe.
