At last a low budget rack version from access! I kinda thought that virus B was kinda overkill since I really don't need all those voices & poly .. why use only a virus when you can have other gear too. Okay but it still has 3 osc and 16poly/8multi.. it also has something called dedicated drum map.. hmm? +upgrade option to get indigo features later! If the price is right, why not?

Agree. Plus using only 3 OSCs on the Virus already sound super fat. I hardly use four oscillators or more than 6 parts if ever.

Yeah, but only 5 knobs. See, I don't care for polyphony, I don't care for multitimbrality, but I do care for the number of knobs!

Hmm I actually care about the sound more. But hey there are many opinions and I admit that I'd take the extra knobs if it would be for the same price.

Me too. :-) It would seem that it would cost considerably less since the front panel is so limited but then again it does have 4 outputs + quitealot multi/poly + 1 input + internal FX/vocoder etc.etc. Then again if it's not too much cheaper than virusB what point would there be releasing it since it's clearly targeted to the low budget people. Well that's about enough speculation.. just have to wait.

On the Virus list, they say it's gonna be around 2000 DM (german dollars). The Micro Q is said to be around the same price and feature 76 polyphony. Not sure why one would want that many voices from the Q, but I am not complaining.

I can't seem to find any info about the micro Q anywhere.. Any word when will these two be out? Somewhere near autumn..? The price seems pretty much what I expected, tho.. NORD RACK II goes for 1900 DM, MS2000R 1800 DM etc.
