Just out of curiosity, I know the Rhythm parts on the Roland stuff actually consist of mutable kick,snare, hi-hats, and percussion, all within the actual Rhythm track, IOW, you can mute the track or the parts within the track. Does the RM1x do this, or do you have to use say, four tracks one for a bass kick, one for hi-hats, ect. It seems you'd be wasting precious tracks if this is the case.

You are correct. With the RM1X, you have to have each instrument on a separate track in order to mute one instrument.
