If itīs the same as the A3000 it has to be 72-pin non-EDO. The ones that was used on early pentium-PCīs.

I have the answer!
I bought ram TO YAMAHA's SPEC from Dabs Direct (damn fine retailer) but it didn't work. So I bought some more from Insight. That didn't work either. Pulling hair out I spoke to Yam who finally came up withananswer - buy the ram from Amercanino. Who? Quite! Anyway I did and it's wored perfectly. Trouble is it costs a lot more...like 277 quid instead of 160 for 128MB. Bugger! What a rip off...are Yam on a backhander here or what?
Any way it actually works. If you're feeling rich enough you an try them on 01483 770888.
Or else keep trying the cheaper stuff until you find some that works...if you do then post it here!
Steve

I don't think Yamaha are on a backhander, the extra cost is what you expect to pay for quality ram which is non-standard.

You might get lucky with cheaper ram, but it varies from board to board depending on the production quality.. so saying buy xxxx ram for 100 quid cos it works on mine don't mean it will work for someone else.

Also make sure all your ram works if you have a number of simms, basically load up all available memory and test all the samples.

well its abit of luck i think. i tried my boss's brothers old p200's rams and viola!
its 2x16 nameless. and cost me a 32mb SD which is about 30 USD.

My suggestion is to try the rams of people around you before paying alot.
