Is it possible to exchange the A3000īs internal floppy with an internal ZIP-Drive? If so, will I need to buy a SCSI or an IDE one? Thanks for help!

So could I throw the A3000īs floppy out, mount a SCSI internal ZIP-drive instead (connected using the SCSI cable provided for internal harddisks)?

Also an internal Zip won't fit into a floppy bay! Just get an external SCSI zip and leave the floppy in!

External drive is much more useful anyway - if you go internal, what happens if you want to do some transfers from another source? - You have to buy another zip drive.

How can an IDE drive work fine in an A3K?

Can't see the point in replacing the floppy. You need the floppy to transfer A3K native files unless you fancy burning a CD using A3KDisky everytime you want to use patch you got off the web. It's sadly the only drive that accepts both DOS and A3K formats.
