I am trying to get hold of os 1.13 for my RM1x, but my dealer says they are waiting for them to come from Japan. Has anyone got the chip recently (ie last couple of months)? Is it better to get it direct from Yamaha?

from yamaha japan ?.. well if they had the english language chips out, they'd surely just get them staright over.. (assuming a Jap RM1X has a nippon OS.. if there is any text feilds etc??)... where's that yamaha guy who hangs out here sometimes... (heeeelp) - i'd call yamaha distributor direct & bypass the store.. get it from the horses mouth

So what exactly does this new OS add to
the RM1x???? Does it make the beat
stretch feature smoother? Can you use it
as a toaste

Seriously, What does the OS upgrade change on the RM1x. If it's worth while I'd definitely get it. ANYONE?????

Bug fixes, stops it sending out unessecary voice info via midi which could mess up external synth voices, other than that I dobn't know.
