yeah thanks jasper but the teklab stuff is down...

i decided to just do it all over wavesurgeon but i have been waiting over a week for my reg code arghhh...

i REALLY want to get some drum kits in my sampler without so much manual labor.

at least i found that doing samples over scsi instead of smidi it keeps the names you give it.

but the mapping.... argh

re: mapping stuff .....well, drums at least - I`m not familiar with Yams but cant you just draw up an empty program or preset (whatever it is in Yam-speak) with all the mapping and modroutings configured? Then you can just save it and whenever you need some drums, just call up the program and dial up the samples and you`ve got all the mapping and velocity to pitch and filter, comtrollers blah blah blah already done =) Its what I`ve done, and it saves a *lot* of time, believe me.

you can, create a soundbank and move all the samples you want arranged into it. then you press play->edit->control and scroll through the menus to the arrange sample bank screen.set it to all channels and to the keys you want and execute it.
all the samples are mapped accross the keyboard in-a-drum-map-styley.
also you can set the sampler to take a samples settings and use them as a template for every sample you import/or manually sample into the machine.. another time saver. look up SETINIT in the manual.
