I'm on the verge of buying one of these, I've liked everything I've heard about the machine so far bar one thing.

Is it true that you can't hear other tracks while programming (tapping in live) sounds/beats on another track.

like you press record and tap in some beats on track 1, then you go to track 2 to record a bass sound or something and you can't hear track 1 anymore? is this correct?

No,the only drawback on the machine is the grid record(x0x style) when programming this the track is soloed and you cannot hear the other tracks,its the biggest drawback on the machine but like everything you get used to it.other than that you can hear everything.

You'll love it,espeacially for techno,an aXk and a rm1x is a match made in yamaha heaven
