I have an A3K format sample CD which has some breakbeats I want to divide up. The loops come in samplebanks - about 10 loops mapped accross 10 keys all at the same tempo.
I move the loop I want out of it's samplebank and apply Loop Divide to it but for some reason none of the chunks will make any sound. I have checked their output (Stereo) and their MIDI mapping (same as the channel I am outputting to) and their volume and key-mapping etc - not that I should need to do this surely (?).
It works fine if I just use a wav sample. The problem only occurs with the A3K format sample.
Any ideas welcomed

don't really use that function mutch myself except when I want to try something quickly, usually I'll cut it up with soundforge.

Loop Divide does produce a different effect to Recycle which can produce unexpectedly cool beats.
BTW, does SMDI just use the SCSI cable or does it use MIDI too? I am hooked up both ways.
