Hi, I'm fairly new to the electronic musician thing and I need some basic newbie help when it comes to software synthesizers. So far I haven't spent the money to buy a commercial software package, ie. Rebirth or Reaktor (those are the two I'm looking at). I have downloaded some shareware stuff though. But I really don't know how to use the stuff to create what I'm looking for. Oh, btw, I'm looking to make "rolling baselines for d'n'b". Some of the shareware I have is Audiomulch, Smorphi and Orangator. I guess it comes down to me not understanding the theory behind stuff like envelopes and filters and such. If anyone out there could recommend a place where i could find out basic synthesizer info I would appreciate it. And yes I have looked on this site, but I haven't found anything detailed enough. Thanx in advance...

Faisal

are you sure this site isn't detailed enough?

it does me fine.

i don't know of any other sites, but i suggest that you just stuff around untill the pieces of the puzzle come together, thats what i do. Doesnt do any harm (unless your gear is REALLY dodgy)
