I'm just starting to make Dnb music and I'm looking for some tips or advice. I would some views on programming breaks as I don't want to be using sample Cd's, I'd rather make my own. What sort of software could help me? Cheers Ringo

sample what ever you like that is tha true dnb aspect
fuck copyrights & capitolists take their sample and do somethin unheard of
sample cd's are a capitolist dream
who wantz to hear an artist using capitolist soundz
-listen-find a mic
place it on the throat or nose start samplin an make
low bassy sounds w/ tha voice
-many possiblities-

any software with a high resolution will do eg cubase logic, lots of grace notes make all the difference as well as staggering kiks and snares in wierd places. drum and bass started from triggering sped up hip hop samples which are triggered at different points

here are the base tech-step beats. the second one is alot more fun, and sounds better at a higher pitch then the first. remember that DnB is all about stealing sounds, and doing things with them that the originator of the sound would kringe at. heh. and dont forget to brake the rules.
