I'm still dealing with minimal equipment, and I'm looking into a lead synth...

Now let's say I get a JP-8000...it's got two parts.....can the patterns be recorded directly to the synth and each part layered over each other in perfect synch? Or does it all have to be exported to a software sequencer (expecially if I want more than 2 instruments going at a time). What format would this be recording in? If it's WAVE, this would require a multi-wave sound card, right?

Now with respect to the MIDI chain.....how exactly would I put it all together with my computer running Rebirth (consider my MCR-8 plugged into the MIDI port of the soundcard, which is the only MIDI port on the sound card)? Put the JP-8000 in the THRU of the MCR-8 (still wanna hook it up for live stuff....the sequencer would take care of the sequenced stuff....)?

Anways...any suggestions...kinda need help...
