situationsthat each individual unit has been through, even from extended
use. Some people in Detroit wont turn them off because the longer that
the unit is on the better that the circuits perform, i also heard that
turning them on and off all of the time causes the circuit boards to
expand and contract (like your moms ass) thus causing wear
and tear on the transistors and such. One argument that i have
heard against that, is that the amount of time needed for any type
of malfunction due to the "expanding contracting thoery " would
take about 20 years, well aside from them already being pretty
old...they arent making any new ones.
If you dont believe about the oscillating pitch theory:
Turn your 303 on.
Play a sequence for about an hour.
Record it.
Listen to the beginning of the tape.
Then fastforward to the end of the tape.
Does it sound the same?
Didnt think so.
