I found the URL. But it doesn't seem to work outside the firewall of the company I work for. Maybe because I'm on a ISDN connection, with in our intranet. I don't know. But I just snagged the site and glued it in here for ya'll. If all else fails go to Metacrawler and search for TB-383 and it will be the site I mentioned with another fucked up machine called the
TR-929!!! This is the URL below, but the contents are underneath. For you known believers.

Another Roland rarity was the TB-323 Computer Controlled 'Bootsy
Bassline' There were only 42 ever made, in Pre-Production. They look
similar to the TB-303, except that the writing is purple. The word
'Bootsy' has 2 5-pointed stars instead of o's. Also, the 'Accent'
feature was labeled 'SLAP!', and affected the filter differently than in
the '303. The envelopes was also configured differently.... it had a
bit more sustain than the 303, so that increasing the Env Amount gave it
more of a 'WAH' sound.
Absolutely true, although the filter is set up differently, which accounts
for most of that 'bootsy' sound. Roland 'borrowed' the technology for
Musonic's (aka ARP) Mutron III. That of course is the famous auto-wah that
got used a lot by Bootsy in Parliament/Funkadelic days. Roland was
subsequently sued by the owners of the patent (not ARP as they had already
gone under). This may have been the reason for its short manufacturing run,
I'm not sure. Just like the Mutron III, you could select bandpass or hipass
filters as well.
In a rather ironic twist, the Parliament (or is it Funkadelic?) album that
came out recently this year, features the 323 on several tracks. Bootsy was
notoriously at odds with Clinton about songwriting, and was not available
at certain crucial times. Hence the use of the 'Bootsy' TB-323. A very
funky instrument indeed.
Can someone confirm the rumor: I had heard that Roland included a
complimentary pair of Bootsy star glasses in with early versions (or
perhaps all?). Does anyone have these? They must be extraordinarily rare,
and I'd appreciate a lead on them. Also, any information, like what color,
etc. Sorry this isn't directly analogue, but I'd appreciate info. Thanks.

Oh man! I hope this is true. I have been a funk bass player for 10 years and Bootsy is my idol. I have one of the original 1977 MuTrom IIIs that I use with my bass and my 303. If anyone has one of these, I have to talk to you. I would love to hear more about this machine.
