I've noticed on the new plastikman album "artifakts bc", the second track on the cd has a few 303 lines in it. But the lead line about half way through the track gets really loud for about 2 bars. It doesn't sound like the volume being turned up, it sounds like he filtered what had already been filter through the 303. Does anyone know how he can do that? Would he lay the line down, then run it back through again through some sort of filtering device? It sounds cool as hell.........and I don't wanna copy, I just wan't to know how I could do it to maybe get a new sound out of my 303. Thanks for any help!

I've read Hawtin has a modified version of 303, called
Devilfish. There's only about 4 or 14 of them, or were when
the interview was made, the interview was on an english
book. it was called, um... history of house or something,
it was published on 1995 or 96.

yep...and if you go to terrorist's homepage you can see the devilfish and other mods....www.teknet.ch/tb-303
there's a few more than 14 by now...and anyone with a tb can get the mod provided you have enough $$ to buy a whole other TB.

I don't think it's the devilfish. I know he has one of them, but to me it sounds nothing like the devil's sound. I don't know I could be wrong? Anyway, thanks for the help!
