I'm trying to learn counterpoint. The book my music professor has reccomended is "Counterpoint" (Kent Wheeler Kennan). That book is $65. Before investing that money, does anyone else know, from personal experience, a better or comprable counterpoint theory book.

Thanks

Oh yeah, I want to learn 18th century counterpoint, not 16th century.

Thanks

Ther've got to be others. What I learned was 16th century and I can't remember the books we used in class. Not much help am I. Do a search at amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com I guess.
