Didn't skip for me. Played fine. Another great track. Drums are excellent with great breaks. I like the vocoder thing and the phat bass or pad that sounds like an oceanliner. Love that. Too busy? I don't think so. There were a couple of spots where the squelchy bass and the oceanliner were maybe stepping on eachother but I listened on headphones and it's not hi fi so I don't know. Anyways, this is sure to be another long thread so I'll have plenty of chances to say more later, and hang some of my tunes off it :P

Excellent Influx, your stuff always has that driving intensity.

great tune...definitely hard. the production quality is really top knotch- i dont think i could differentiate between this and any other "professional" ie released material...excellent. the drums seem to be the most compelling aspect of this tune...so i have to ask, how much experience do you have? you dont use prefabricated loops do you? do you program them all entirely by yourself? if so, congratulations- thats quite an accomplishment i must say...keep it up. cheers...

some loops for filler but mostly programmed. A lot of times Ill use parts, arrange a beat, then run it through FX and resample so I have a whole new loop (like the one in the beginning behind the hard kicks)

this track I used more samples than I normally would, but the main drums are all programmed

good track influx! really good break in the
middle, reminded me of Liam's hovering
breaks/drops he did on the Jilted Album. killer
bassline! it did sound a little busy, but I could
make out the main elements easily... I guess,
too make it less busy, is try to listen to the
tones of the drums closely, and figure out how
to make it sound like one drummer. Anyway,
overall, this is your best track. The sound had
lots of energy, and it kept moving.

We thank you for you kind words, brother in darkness. No presets are used by we, for sounds mostly analog monosynth are with some drum samples and effects. Tried we to make a low bandwidth file for uploading here, but audio quality suffered too much on conversion. We thank thee for your downloading patients, one who calls self influx and whose own tunes we have found worthy. More we are finishing for the posting of soon. Hopefully here if conversion here is pleasing to we. But all will be at BeSonic too.

funny about that, because I HATE the way my songs sound at the low bitrate, but...you know..its a way to get more people to listen. a say 5 minute max DL as opposed to 45? easy choice for those on low bandwidth

Yes, one SH-101 have we. Signal path we run through many devices. Many hands on knobs and sliders playing controls during tracking. We find synch very tight one sound at time when track put together. All midi send is note on and note off. Then editing it we do in Cubase by cutting with scissors and moving around the part or deleting. Not much in way of plugins do we use either. Mostly we track that as well with hardware boxes using Lexicon MPX-100 and guitar pedals. Record things through speaker cabinets, too. Do things to signal that make it not sound direct. Hope that gives some insight to Guards technique. Not way everyone should make sounds, but it works for we.

Anyway, its a bit fuzzy, but I went over to visit you for some reason and you were trying to take a picture of me holding something in you garage tho I dont remember what it was I was holding as you were crap at taking pictures and only just manage to get my head in shot. So then we went to this big place with loads of people in that seemed like a cross between a university and that nuclear complex in metal gear solid. So we were walking about a bit chatting and then you told me you had to go meet this girl from Japan who was coming over to see you so I sat down on these seats like an airport lounge with a computer infront of me which was where I started looking at porn (I wasn`t wanking tho). So eventually Rick Moranis and his wife are sitting next to me trying to lecture me and shit on porn and telling me about this fantatsic use he had for the internet (dont remember what it was), so I thought bugger this for a game of soldiers and went off to find you again. So I walked down the corridor into this big circular room and you`re there with this Japanese girl standing behind a table selling some stuff (dont remember what you were selling) and this girl was like "who are you? what do you want". Then I woke up.

Influx`ll probably shout at me now for messing up his thread. I can`t stream that tune at all tho, anything 11khz I can`t hear for some reason although it plays.

Nope, its at 24kbps/11khz - strange thing being winamp would never play it but when I opened up musicmatch first and set that as the default player I can now hear it. Sounds a bit like an old no-u-turn cut on 33 or something in places, maybe even prodigyish in others. Nice enuff track anyway, I prefer some of your other shit tho.
