Im sorry but this just sounds like youre trying WAY too hard to be "abstract" or avant garde or something

that "lead" is so far out of key. sounds like a goose getting killed!

some cool elements too like the low vibrating B-line but man..that lead is makin my teeth hurt!

just sounds like youre tryin too hard

I'm never one to second guess the creative vision of an artist just because I might not understand what they are trying to express...

8-way, I don't understand. I can't agree that this should be included into a very good repertoire you already have.

Keep it up though. I'm looking forward to your next track post.

I can listen tomorrow. I'm at work. It'll be too late when I get home tonight. Looking forward.

too hard to be "abstract"

I look at my stuff as art... Abstract is just the way it is, it's not that I tried to be "abstract".
I thought it sounded like a freak of sound, so I called it "freakish".

But thanks for the comments, I'm glad you listened.

yeah...that was meant as objectively as it could be. Not tryin to crack you down, but...that lead..well..I had to force myself to listen past that.

as for the trying to hard thing...well...dunno...sometimes when you use the word "art" it becomes self-important and then in danger of being pretentious.

but if you just write what you write then more power to ya

'sides..you said YOU like it, so ultimately thats all that matters. especially if youre writing for you and you alone, no?

Influx, I always say that but I always follow through....I think. Sometimes it takes longer than I thought it would. Life can be a pain like that, but tomorrow should be good.

Yeah, it's nice to please others too.

This song reminds me of some kinda bondage or rough sex...... intence, slightly painful.

Not one goose was harmed in the recording of this song.

I dig Depeche Mode "the dead of night", it had a tad bit of influence.

havent heard it

I think part of the problem is the discord..the relationship between the notes in the lead. they just dont sound right together. maybe they do to you.

sitar..I think you follow through;) its just funny how many times you say "cant do it now but will tomorrow"

I listened. The thing I like in it is the vocal. I agree with Roller8. You have stuff in your repertoire that this piece doesn't live up to, although you could probably work on this piece and take it to other levels. At my last job I also worked on the weekends and had the run of the place. There was a real nice stereo system with big Bose speakers. I'd have cds playing all day long. Orbital's Snivilization has 2 tracks on it which would cause me to run from wherever I was and hit the skip button. One of them is this grunge guitar thing. If I had a cd of yours this would be one of those tracks, although I think theirs was worse. But still, it's something you put together with care. I can respect that.

run and hit skip.

haha. I do that. OH SHIT NOT THAT TRACK! phew

you promise no geese were hurt?

you know..for constructive criticism...Id say it sounds unfinished..a little hurried. Some more drumwork with a little more high-end percussion to fill the space just a little?

i took it as an allegory of a developing life form; the stringy sounding lead being very physical. it experiments and starts to develop and becomes self concious of developing.. this moment correlates with the rush of noise.. possibilities to the infinite echoing off in an infinite space. but from then on, the creature proceeds in the form it had developed before self awareness - a hideous tale of entrapment within the body from a buddha trapped by eight ways.

At least it's not another attempt to imitate someone else's already formulaic approach to music! No boundaries it's the name of the game isn't it?

I wrote: "At least it's not another attempt to imitate someone else's already formulaic approach to music!" I should have concluded this sentence with "myself included". Wasn't trying to imply anything about anyone. Truly. Friends?
