Just to clarify, OS4.1 has been released as a .mid download together with a new soundset for the Nova Laptop. There will be an OS4.1 for the original Supernova, this download will also contain the above soundset. This is expected to be uploaded to our website next week.

The next OS for the Supernova II & Nova II series will be OS1.7. We will release this software as soon as we can, however this is not expected to be until the end of September at the earliest.

Several weeks ago you said OS 1.7 was to be released in a few weeks.
And now you're talking about september?

Well 'next week' finished yesterday, but there is still nothing new on the Novation website with regards the 4.1 OS for the Supernova!!
Did something go wrong?

You cats don't get it. Novation doesn't give a hoot about individual customers or even little groups of people.

Seriously, endure what you can. I had to sell mine cos it was naff anyway comapared to the Nord Modular. The main fact tho, was their update about updates..."next month; next week; this week" they're full of poppycock!

I'm glad I sold mine, now the slavery of dependency is broken.

Do not promise any dates or don�t even tell us here that
you OS needs an update!

That's like a pissing into own soup!
Because your competition (plus some 'happy users') right away
are suggesting that you OS is a crap, because do need update,
and you are bums because you do have so much trouble to get it right!
Especially, if you labeled perfectly working OS as beta!
That is a digging your own grave!
I know that was very honest, but� honestly� didn�t help you much!? ;-P

I'm serious.
Just a single line stating that" new OS + new sound set as a bonus was
posted on our web site today for our enjoyment.

That's it. Cut those morons out! Don't give them fuel for their BS!!!

The bottom line is: Novation is great. Great synths, great sounds, great
OS�s and great service. And you are still working hard to make the best
even better.

To be honest, you PR work sux, not your synths! ;-P

I *really* hope that this time Novation can keep to the published date.

I've been waiting for SN2 bug fixes for bloody ages now. I'd be happy (for the time being) with an auto-glide that worked!

BTW - I believe it was Kinetic who reckoned we'd get the new 1.7 a week or two ago...

LLIO, nord modular is joke of a live synth. The Nova is meant to be a performance synth. It does a good job with the onboard fx. The Modular was so over rated. Everytime you select a new patch all the others stop playing while it reconfigured the very limited amount of ram. The filters on it sounded no where near as good as thier analog counterparts. I created a bunch of programs and demoed most of the 3000. I was unimpressed and would take a S/nova over one any day. I thought it would sound like the nord lead, and even the lead programs didn't sound like the lead. Have fun with your 8 voices and four parts.

Well don't get on Kinetik's case. He's been real helpful around here and I don't think he has control over when something goes live at their site. He's probably relating to us what he's been told as soon as he hears it.

I have a SupernovaI Rack and a Nord Modular Rack. These two synths are as different as apples and oranges. Which one is better? Well, sometimes I like to eat an apple, but othertimes I'll have a craving for an orange! ;)

First it's OS 2.0 on the novation site, then it's gone, then it's OS 1.8 in the rumor mill now it's OS 1.7. @#$%*!!!
