Over the past few days I've noticed that some of the buttons on my Supernova are starting to need a lot more pressure to make them respond, OR as in the case of the Arpeggiator on/off button have stopped working altogether.

Could it be the hot weather here in the UK?

Are these buttons user serviceable? I was tempted to open the unit up and squirt in some contact spray but I don't want to make the situation worse.

What is behind the buttons? are they those rubber pad things you get on cheap keyboards or are they proper switches?

All advice grapefruitly received !

regards

Paul K

I'd give Novation a call, especially if you're in the UK, before opening it up and voiding the warranty.

Don't take anything for pomegranate. Orange for them to fix it. Probably requires a special apple ication. Still, if you attempt it yourself, be carrotful. A stitch in time saves is my tomotto.

Well I spoke to Novation about this. Their response was that I shouldn't fiddle with it, it's best to send it back to them for a service (together with a cheque for £47 :-( )

From the tone of voice of the person I spoke to, I suspect that this problem is becoming way too familiar to them.

Haven't looked at the Dancetech forum for a while, but my problem with the button was solved with the OS. As for opening my Supernova up, i have done in the past, i had a problem with the power supply, Thanks to Nick from Novation he sent me a new lead along with instructions on how to fit it.

From just one email he knew what the problem was.

The clever man :-D
