okay it's probably someting stupid but I cant figure it out

My nova is on patch multi 1-6 (or whatever the multipatch is calles) and whenever i send prog. # data is doesn't switch the programs but switches the perfmance.... what am I overlooking? Am I stupid or what???

Probably you're transmitting MIDI program changes on the Global Channel; everything you transmit on the Global channel affects the whole performance, and not individual programs as you may expect; you'd better set the global channel (in the global menu) to some value you may not use for programs, say ch.16 for global, and ch. 1 to 6 for the Nova six parts
