i dont know ´what you are doin,
but i really wonder myself if you can produce a track perfectly mastered like this one....
i think you havent realized that i would call myself a "musician", not an mp3-tracks-producer
like you get thousend times in the net.
i cant take your critisism for seriously.

exactly one kind of the music, system85 is making.
so wtf are you yelling around?
if you like classic, jazz or rock...move on.
if you like goa, drum'n'bass, electronic or noises whatsoever....just shut up and show some tolerance. you are not god.
sheesh. i hate people gasping around and talking shit.
Message 15/85 24-Aug-01 @ 08:03 PM - RE: Romeo vs. system85 is BACK ;)
system85..uh..you say you didnt write your shit for anyone else to listen to?
WHY POST IT THEN? You clearly already think that youre the SHIT ("perfectly mastered"?) so theres no reason why you should even bother. you already have plenty of listeners and you've figured it all out yourself
dunno if youre just arrogant or if its the language thing but you sound like a prick. Zipcode, you too. I assume you guys are friends, but who knows.
anyway, you write your stuff for you so all is fine and dandy

dude, dont take things so serious.
You don't even know how many times I've
posted a track here and everyone else would
praise and slag it. I would get all kinds of
weird connotations. its the internet man.
I'm not defending the others tho... I don't know
there intentions...
My intention was to abruptly tell you something
common about the VA world... that one single
pluck string sound has been done to death... I
sometimes use it though... Just because its
so easy to use.. BUT, I dig into my VA anyway
and make new pads and sounds, which give
me new tones.
Anyway, IMO, what people say, is just the half
of it... people come from different places... I
can tell you this, your music is good... you've
got melodies that move... the beat is well
mastered... has that euro feel! AND it could
prolly put headz in a club. But, I'm personally
used to other music, like american / german
techno and detroit house.
good luck on your journey.

now, who has really a problem? i have listened to xoxos' music (biology by secs). hmm, pretty noises. what gives? im tempted to say, that i do this stuff in half an hour....haha...sorry...no no...well, its not my kind of music....thats all.
no offend. i dont care about and therefore i am no judge of this. dig it?
so everybody calm down. panama has pointed it out: people come from different places.
and i will leave this place now. hehe.
Message 23/85 25-Aug-01 @ 06:57 PM - RE: Romeo vs. system85 is BACK ;)

spell "fascism" correctly
so I read at the top of the page that this is a
"Music tracks forum" and not the "Music Tech"-Forum, XOXOS,
so isnt it correct when someone says ::
here is a ne track, if you want you can listen to it?
I dont understand whats your ****ing problem,
but I have never seen such a ignorant forum
like this one...
I hope this all was spelled "correctly"

im downloading it right now you crybaby I dont remember any comments from YOU about MY tracks (well hell, i dont remember much of anything)
system85...D was JOKING! your burn baby burn post was WACK
but...look...like i said..you made it quite clear that you dont need feedback and dont need an audience, didnt you?
I was actually going to listen but I couldnt find it. why not put it HERE like the rest of us!!!
Message 29/85 25-Aug-01 @ 08:40 PM - RE: Romeo vs. system85 is BACK ;)
maybe some more drums in the background instead of the straight 2 step?
also..maybe just lofi..but..wheres the bass? is it there? I am listening on computer speakers mind you but I can usually hear the low end
oh wait..now I can hear it.
one thing i can say..this gives me ideas...like..if I were in the studio with you I would have the urge to add my ideas to it. Some tracks dont even trigger that response so yeah.
common complaint but it just seems a bit repetitive. Maybe more of a call and response type thing with the lead/bass?
dunno.
mix sounds tight!
good enough you crybaby?

Actualy i just was in Spain for 3 days and they play this female vocal pop-trance stuff on the FM radio there alot.... well, if that's all it takes to make money with 'trance' in Spain, I think i'll have a go myself & churn out some stuff to flog off in Espana & invest in a nice beachside villa !! - perhaps you should approach some spanish labels Bene cos trust me, your stuff is identical to the stuff on the small station commercial radio.

thanks for your advice *gg...
Yes I think a villa in spain is better than one in Germany ;)
Hmm I think dancetech.com is not for me,
I have always trouble, even with you (I remember a discussion about new Nova Soundbanks....)
I think one reason for this is the language barrier,
maybe I dont understand everything how it is really ment
and I cant explain everything understandable...
Hmm but in spite of people as Xoxos, Mon(k)eyboy etc you have written a lot of good arguments,
your last posting I ve read last night was very constructive.
It is (was) important for me to learn how to make a professional sound, and to produce songs a lot of people want to listen to, not a minority.
My first vinyl-release (remix of a trance song)
is a little bit different from the radio-versions I ve done,
there is a long break and more "ups" and "downs",
not everything on the same level (this is what you have mainly criticised [right spelled? *arf;)
So I have seen this problem since a few month and I´m trying to improve this,
but the "Sound" was more important for me before, the basis to produce really perfect trance-pop-tracks in the future.
Greetings to you ;)

Message 34/85 26-Aug-01 @ 11:04 PM - RE: Romeo vs. system85 is BACK ;)
oh and something else. in our culture, we use devices such as facetiae in our conversation, which allows us to describe multiple ideas.. it is conventional practice for the listener to then discern the most pertinent meaning and respond in turn.
unfortunately, the meanings you have chosen of my words indicate that you're quite defensive and combative. that can happen.
when i suggested that this forum was concerned with technique, and not advertising, you slammed me..
then you go on in your response to kilo about how *are* interested in improving your technique, presumably by exchanging opinions/ideas, except you never indicated that previously, only that you were interested in advertising, which is not why we're here. you want insight on your builds? this is the place, but you have to be able to articulate yourself well enough to communicate intent clearly.
so why did you slam me when instead you could have said.. "advertising? i am not advertising, i am looking for anyone's constructive criticism on my technique..." but NOOOOO, you just shot me down.
people chided you for your commercialism (*why* is commercialism a problem? have to have been here for a few years to know that... back when mp3.com used to give people free money for the # of people they could trick into checking out their sample cd loop crap...)
....instead of taking this as the cue to elaborate on *why* you posted and build some sort of platform for *discourse* you just shat fire.
let me tell you something. i've been listening to the 'amateur' musicians who come here for three years now, and different people develop different areas of talent.. some go for timbres, some for builds, et c, so even though one of them might not have what it takes to make a track sound 'slick' or whatever bullshit, between the two of them, they can still improve. you want to interact? let's interact, but i've only got time for constructive relationships.
now you know what that means. i don't have time to spell it out like this every day for you, so please pay attention. you want war, you got war.. ...want to see real burning? then merry christmas, ho ho ho. you want a forum that allows people to exchange ideas and information, you come here and articulate yourself.
Message 36/85 27-Aug-01 @ 12:52 AM - RE: Romeo vs. system85 is BACK ;)
anyways, i might dislike 'pop trance' repetitive pattern/timing quality, but i can discuss it on an intellectual or production basis regardless of my likes or dislikes... and for me, if it's got a vocal, and the pattern/parts are VERY repetitive with few cross-patterns and everything on the same feel/beat, then it needs more than ever some higher strength in the overlayed vocal arrangement & hook production if it's going to stand out at all from the fodder of that genre & be better than average and remain in the mind of the listener...

nice talking, xoxos. but...i guess, you forgot something. system came in here in a friendly matter...just scroll to the top...and there was a very friendly apeman, who hypocritical started with:
i hope i dont offend you.....blah
and, at least...was flaming like "worst piece of music...cheestastic pop pickers"...haha.
and there is a forum-hero called influx, who hadnt heard the track, talking about "glad, not to waste his time"...and you, xoxos....spelling crap....
all nice and easy, no need to cry...huh?
well boys. you are smart. *yaaaawwn*

do you guys EVER participate in ANYTHING we talk about here? have you ever helped a newbie sort out his computer problems (well..maybe I otta be careful on that one )
that was an attempt at advertising and some of us trip on that. monkeyboy thought it was SHIT so he said so
I actually went to listen but the site is so damn disorganized I didnt see the track (but Im senile really, so)
the funniest part is the attitude. you guys (girls?) both clearly think that youre on top, got it all figgered out, so LET IT GO!
system85 even said he doesnt need listeners? then why post?
I aint no..what did you call me..."forum-hero"? what the hell is that?
xoxos spelled it out VERY clearly for you and youre still talkin like a 3 year old who got scolded. I can hear the lilt in your voice
look, you write POP music, no? the idea behind POP music is to MAKE MONEY, no? some of us dont agree with that
like you said, its a free country. so some of us who dont agree have the right to TALK AS MUCH SHIT AS WE WANT ALL DAY LONG AND ALL NIGHT TOO
yes. thank you very much

see, influx...hmmmm....how to spell this...errrr
you are right...free land...free meanings...blah blah
thats not the point for me NOW. it was an answer to xoxos, who said "you want war, you get war", and i tried to explain, that the "war" was opened with answers like i have written above.
when someone wants my meaning about music, i use to say...(for example) well, the groove is boring, the sounds are pretty, i miss a melody, and i dont like the style, whatsoever. i NEVER talk to anybody, that his music is SHIT, because i KNOW, that every musician (ok, nearly every) makes music, that comes from his HEART, he loves it this way, and all he wants is some constructive critism or respect, maybe praise..hehe.
system was misunderstood, when he said, he doesnt need listeners...finally believe that! he was angry about this load of flame with no content.
now, whats so difficult with this link? there is a link called "songs" on it, you must understand, mustnt you? and then a botton "preview" and "download" international spelled...hehe.
senil? whoops, lemme tell you. i am 48 years old, making music for 30 years now. startet with my both hands playing drums and organ, making rock, pop, and now have a shit fun with dancestuff. maybe "I" am senil. who cares.
system is young, maybe as you are. he makes pop/dance/trance and he likes it. maybe someday he will get money for it. oohhhhh. you dont want any (not for the music) well, thats your decision, anyone will respect it. so you respect the others.
forum hero: i know these individuals nearly at every forum. commenting all and everything. followed by a bunch of fans. hehe. dont take it personal. just a point of view.
i guess, this thread must come to an end. sorry for the bad english. at least i was too lazy to get the dictionary. dooh.
have fun. bye

ALWAYS show firmness of beleif in your project -
with some teasing & criticism you cracked and went beserk and spewed out tons of defensive shit - dont show weakness cos you always will get criticism from companies & listeners & media etc etc and if you rise to it, there is the end of any dialog betwen you and this company or office or magazine or radio station etc etc & in fact this will make them try to destroy you deliberately at any chance they have. But don't worry, we all are human and we all slip from time to time and 'rise to the bait' like a fish
If you are cool it is like chatting about a film in the pub with people - mebbe they say they dont like the film you like, but you can with the right moves influence someone to listen again & mebbe go and see the film and agree it is ok, you can influence them to change their mind or too look again..... but if you crack and spew out like that, then they will laugh and show you the door and after it closes they say to each other: "he was some loser"
If you have a showdown with a fighter and he see's you screaming and frothing at the mouth and shouting "I will kill you.. I will rip off your fucking head!!" etc etc... it is NOT like WWF in real life, no... he just looks at you going beserk and says to himself: "Look at this guy going crazy, this guy is shit scared, he is terrified, he is beaten already"
you gotta be firmer than that mate - beleive or not, but make your mind up if you BELEIVE or not and if you DO, then DO NOT show any sign you do NOT beleive which you are showing because you show SO EASILY TO SEE that someones opinion, (WHO YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW).. someone not liking your work is effecting you DEEPLY... if you beleived, it would not effect you at all... you would laugh and say - "fair enuff"
what do you think you are fucking GOD and EVERYONE MUST like your music in the whole world??... they will not, in fact the majority will not.
That's how it is in companies... they will say your stuff is shite mebbe or say at first. "we dont like this or we dont want to sign this" etc, but you ask: "what can I do to make it better"?... you play this idiot like a violin because then he can give him an opportunity to talk about himself... he can tell you what HE thinks it needs, and then you are discussing your project, you have a dialog and by asking him to point out which things he does not like or BETTER, what he thinks is GOOD of it and to keep etc, he must listen to the track again to show you - so he must listen again and again... and then after some discussion you have a dialog, he remembers your name & face & you can call him up and go back again with a remix or a new project -
BUT if you scream and rant at him, he says: "fuck off and dont come back"..... and that is that, you NEVER will get in that door again...
mebbe worth a thought - what is a manager after all?... he is a guy who beleives he can sell you and make money out of your product and doesn't take 'no' for an answer.... if you can't handle criticism, get a manager and stay OUT of managing yourself and leave it to a professional - let a manager promote you instead.

but after too many beers I had the urge to
react to the "war" some people wanted to have.
Especially because I cant defend as good as I would do it in german language I shouted out

I have to react more relaxed,
and I´ve to be more carefully in what I say.
But I ll learn from this kind of accidents ;)

i understand the language thing, but hey - i've spent years working with immigrants having to communicate with only a handful of words and a lot of gestures.. you have to be careful of what you think people are saying.
each time you come back, you've got a sting.. "well, yes kilo you are right but.." and then it's all about how you wanted to defend better.. so you have to ask what you are doing.. is your goal to fight, or to make progress on the pertinent subject? if it is the latter, then the best defense is a good offense, meaning the more you concern yourself with the proper subject, the less "strength" you give your detractors.
two opposing vectors go nowhere. move forwards.
...and please do, esp. if you are so "freaking" old. sometimes a touch of maturity and refinement is really refreshing in a dance track. i'd like to see you be successful.

Its only in WC qualifiers they`ve never been beaten, I remember Scotland walking out of Germany with all the points a couple of years back in a Euro qualifier so it can be done. With Effenberg still being a bitch and Scholl injured they`ve got little ability to play it through the middle which`ll mean lofting balls in where you`ve got Rio/Sol/Keown, none too clever indeedy. And conversely with Jeremies still out, it`ll be much easier for England to thread the balls into Owen and Heskeys feet.
England have got no injuries, and Germany are missing their best bar Kahn so its our best chance for a long time of getting something from Germany. Not saying its gonna happen, but its there for the taking.

football is a sport men play. not anemic european poofters in their cute little shorts.
it incorporates strategy and violence, two concepts that are hard to grasp by most euros. we gave you a good lesson about those concepts back in the late 1700s and have to occasionally help you out with refresher courses when one of your own home-grown thugs starts acting up (causing the french to surrender).

it´s not like i´m against the whole nation, but i´m not going to take it from anyone talking shit. and if i was from uk i dont know how i would react to an american trying to teach me englsh and how to call things.
he was right about one thing though, i really dont understand violence. having a concept of violent team sports is something i find quite ridiculous in fact.
and i do hope, for your own good, that you´re not all the same over there. i dont know how i could stand a dosen influxes around here :-P
