Subject: OS upgrade/deleting sounds?

Hey all. Just need a simple question answered. Will upgrading the OS in my Nova erase my sounds? And can I load the OS into my AKAI MPC2000 and transfer it? I don't have a MIDI interface on my Mac. Thanks all.

Hi Josh
Yes , The Upgrade do that.
First you save Your Sounds Data's. ( Sysex-Dump )
I don't now the Akai-MPC2000 but if it plays and records Midi-Files, then
Transfer your Sysex-Data to Akai and save the File to Floppy-Disk.
If you unzip the OS4.1 for the Nova the you have 2-Midifiles one is the " novaos41.mid "
and the other the " Total.mid " is the new Instrument set. only a few Instruments
was changed but, It sounds Great !! . . . Dowload it for Mac
