Hey guys

my nova has dodgy knobs when it's cold, yeah it's true. Especially the "fast data" knobs, they are almost unusable if the nova has just been turned on after beeing off for a couple of hours. I was really frustrated about this and was thinking of sending it back to novation for repair.

BUT, I have found out that if you have you Nova on for about an hour or so the problem is solved. The nova gets warm and the knos are easier to turn... it's like a dream!! even the "fast data" knobs works like a dream!!

Right now I'm one happy musician =]

yeah, my fast data knobs kinda suck, too. You twist them, and the numbers jerk up slowly, sometimes going back down. Sometimes it takes forever to get from 0 to 127. I haven't noticed it changing with how "warmed up" it was... i'll have to check it out.

You may not expect to abuse of such a beauty if you don't warm her up a little bit before

jon,

It's not the knobs, it's the numbers. The numbers inside the synth are a little slow getting to the screen when they first wake up, can't blame 'em, it's hard getting a potato clock, etc., but once they get going, they have a real zing to 'em, eh?

Thanks, but I still think it's the knobs, at least on my nova :-)
