Need to figure out first how to dump patch info to my sequences on my MPC... know it's possible. Or will this leave my user patches untouched?

The file first.mid contains the OS, second.mid the new ROM-sounds. Your user sounds will stay untouched as long as you dont install the file ABM.mid.
But, it never can't be wrong to save sounds first...
