Hi guys,

Rang Novation last week to ask about the SNII ADAT and SPDIF card.

Apparently this won't be ready 'til at least June next year and still no news on OS 1.7 for SNII or NovaII.

Thought you might like to know.

eek! i doubt it'll effect many people but it certainly isnt the sort of news they need 'ongoing' - they should be sorting this stuff out.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

They should fix the Portamento bug immediately. It really isn't acceptable that the instrument can't do fingered portamento properly, particularly as it is so important for basslines in some generas.

Having said that, I just started programing some new sounds on my Supernova (mark 1). The new filters are brilliant. I've got Reactor and a few other soft synths, which are great, but for analogue sounds the SN is unbeatable. The new filters allow you to get really hard sounds that were impossible before. The modulation routings allow you to do most of the things that you would normally need a modular for.

I'm also getting really pissed off with the glide bug.

There's absolutely no excuse for not releasing a fix for that, even without all the bells and whistles of a new OS.

My opinion of Novation has dropped dramatically.

btw the reason I was given for the delays is because there are so many new products in R&D...

well i guess we are in a time when a corp like alesis can go bust... bad times for business, i wouldnt like to be the person responsible for making descisions about priorities.

Well maybe the way it works is that eventually the SNII will get some features from the A-Station same as the (Super)Nova eventually got some features from the SNII.

We may have to shout though!
