i've read the manual as much as i can and
i can not find any reference to the mid out port on the back of the Micro modular.

Does the modular only send midi control messages out of this port or does it send midi note and velocity data as well?

I only ask because i have a patch that produces random notes in a certain key, and i would like to use this patch to control another sound module i have.

you cannot use the internal sequencers or arps to drive external devices, they do not transmit midi, its all internal. sorry.

the reason there is a midi out is to record your knob movements etc.

Well thats something for the new modular OS

A MIDI OUT module!
It could be much like the the audio out module only, it has a bunch of logic and control holes

yah it wasn't designed to be used as a live sequencer, except for the internal engine.

its a great synth tho!
