I consider myself a blessed man, in the last month I've acquired my first Nord Lead 2 AND my first wife! However, all is not well... It appears the new wife is getting a bit upset about the amount of time I am spending with the Nord. I'm sure there are lots of other Dancetech devotees out there that share the same problem that I'm having, albeit with wife or girlfriend. So how do you manage to keep em both happy? I'm thinking about asking my wife if I she wouldn't mind if I paint her bright red, and if she would make growling/squealing sounds when I press her (c'mon I'm leaving myself wide open for ya!).

2 things. ONE...your wife needs to understand your love of music and/or synths.

TWO...YOU need to undersand your wifes needs. You married her, you owe her a LOT of your time

its called compromise

and only one month into the whole thing? ouch.

easier said than done influx. I was engaged until I got reason last week. just kidding, my butter- half knows full well what an obsessive jerk I am. richard, just make sure the nord is not the only thing growling and squealing ;) and make a lovesong for her. *with vocals* it doesen't count unless you sing for your baby. vocode as needed.

I'm afraid without a vocoder she would divorce me instantly, and I'd be back to twidlling my own knobs!!

In all seriousness though, the Nord is a really nice piece of gear. I'm new to the (virtual)analog synthesis thing, and it's just so easy to get good results from it by just messing around with it (we're still talking about the Nord here). If anyone has any advise for a new Lead 2 user please pass it along.

Influx - yes I have... Guess I'm a narcissist... It's something I need/like to do every so often... Just remember to have a good mic running in case she (or you) happens to scream just right.... You can always "join her" with yer own set of phones... other space... very tasty....

yeah, and the OS on those things still seems a bit buggy...

they often make the WRONG sound...totally opposite of what you expected
