Does anyone know anywhere on the WWW where I can download some Dub style vocal samples from? You know stuff like "ere dis sound" and all that already over used stuff.

try and have a look for some u-roy tracks. there's a couple where his vocal is on the left, track on the right. i think it's u-roy. trojan records.

right, that's it, no more help from me, use your ears.

or in this case voice, mic & your best cod-jamaican accent.

heh heh I was playing footie outside the World Rastafarian HQ in south London recently, and as usual there is tons of dreads sitting & standing around outside, and you can hear nuff fake jamaican accents   heh heh... 'You a touris' bwoy!'

oh, definately old dub & ska albums tho yes for samples. It's not the sort of thing you'll find on the www tho i'd have thought, that'd require someone went to JA and sampled loads of stoned dreads chatting

i guess they used some really old echo boxes for the 70's water tank echo on voices, those boxes with springs and plates that shimmer and distort sound.
i'd only try my afro carrabean club with a tape recorder if i had fat dreds to get by i reckong with a bit of reverb, delay and some spektral dx fx u could make a nuskool similair effect
