Hi,

Since Yamaha have released the DM2000 and now the 02r96 do you know if their going to release 96KHz versions of the 01v and 03d? I have an 01v and I was thinking of getting a 2nd one or getting rid now before the value depreciates too much. So I can look for an 02rv2 which should be well cheap when the 02r96 has been out and about for a while..

I don't want 96KHz so a cheap 02rv2 will suit me fine....

Cheers

Stvy

I have been after a Digital Yammy mixer for ages.

But I got this instead. It's great. Trust me.

the price has dropped already. Thge o2r was $10k new then it's $5k now. The new o2r is the same price as the old when it was new. And the DM2000 is $20k and a straight up pro mixer which may or may not effect the prices of lower end stuff. The dsp alone in it huge, and so is the new engine in the 02r96. So expect to see newer 01 competitors out, and at $700 for an o1v, I'd say the price is probably as low as it's going for a while. Maybe $600 or $599 by year end, then again maybe not.

I don't even want to contemplate what $700 is in £UKP (shudder)

a secondhand 02Rv2 with some expansion boards (esp. the TC Unity) would be your best bet, in terms of value for money. I don't think 02R prices will fall any further, all the competition has been around long enough for the price to level off.

I thought you were the one who posted an o1v for $700 somewhere. Anyway on e-bay they were going in this range last i chekced. It kind of upset me considering i bought mine last year for $1499.
