WHat a wonderful, warm sounding box. I'm not seeing this thing mentioned much these days, and it really should be, because as much as I love my Q, and lots of other synths, there's something magical about the sounds of this beast, such warmth and precision combined. Yummy yummy. Anybody else got this love affair with this machine going on?

Hey there - is yours the v2.0 model (extra wavetables, etc.) because I'm trying to negotiate the purchase of one of these things...

The guy who's selling thought I meant the (digital) MW2 when I asked if it'd been upgraded to v2 status. when I informed him of the v2 upgrade (extra wavetables etc.) he 'suddenly' realised that it *had* been upgraded, claiming it had 88 wavetables (as opposed to 34 on the original) and said 'v2.0' in the screen on startup. I thought the original had 32, doubled to 64 in v2.0 (so already sounding a bit dodgy) and as for showing v2.0 on startup, is this correct? Is there any way his claimed wavetable count could be correct? And what exactly does the v2 screen say on startup? (all this assuming yours is a v2, of course...)

I just need to know I'm not being sold an original, un-upgraded MW1 on pretence of it being a v2. Thanks for your help...

The MW1 has 88 in the OS version 2.0. Some of those are user updateable with the correct software.
